Ever since I've had great photographers around me I vowed to never have pics done inside AGAIN! Then Alexis came home with a flyer from school. Dress up pics were going to be done at her school. 10 dollars for an 8x10 and 2 5x7's and it goes to the PTO. Sure why not right? That would be fun for the girls. Ryan decided to start throwing up the day before but had seemed fine all that morning so we went anyways. We were seriously getting out of the car to get the pics taken and she threw up again. Well we decided to go anyways. (Seriously, she was ACTING fine!) My new plan is to always get pictures done of Ryan when she is sick! They turned out SOOOO great. It's not that I feel the outfits or the background or even the quality of the pics is that great but my girls just killed me. So 200 dollars worth of pics later I've realized I can never get pics taken of my girls if I'm not planning on buying all of them. In my defense, I got a lot for what I paid (hint to all grandparents be expecting some pics in the mail soon.) They just look so sweet and innocent how could I have all those pics floating around in picture land and not own them??? :)

It's been warming up down here in the South!!! The other day I decided it was warm enough to turn the sprinklers on (have I mentioned recently how much I LOVE having a YARD!) Well, it was not the huge success that I was hoping it would be but they had fun anyways and I thought the pictures were cute so here is my post! The water was a little chilly and both my girls are a little bit sensitive to the cold. Ryan wouldn't even go NEAR the sprinkler but she loved being outside in her swimsuit. Lexi gradually "warmed" up to the water and got pretty wet. They love being outside and I love them being able to go out every single day!

We had a very low key Easter this year and although I missed my friends and family it was really nice to not have some of the pressure of cooking etc... The girls got up and first thing Lex was talking about was Easter Baskets. Ryan seemed to catch on to looking for her fairly quickly and was very excited when she looked in the dishwasher! :) We just got a little candy and they each got a movie. We had brunch with some friends and then came home and colored easter eggs. Yes, I realize it's usually tradition to do that ahead of time but the week was crazy and time got away so we colored and hid them all in the same day. Hope you all had a great and Happy Easter.

Well posted by popular demand! I didn't realize how many people get excited to see my girls in their beautiful dresses so I will make sure to put those up a.s.a.p. from now on! :) HAHA I love that you are all so excited about it mostly b/c you know how much I love to dress them up. I love these girls. They LOVE getting all beautiful and after they LOVE taking pictures but only by themselves. I guess they don't want each other in THEIR pictures. Seriously, this first one is the only decent one I got of them together but you can see they were more than will to pose by themselves. I hope you all had a wonderful Easter.

Travis decided that for his birthday he wanted to go check out a place he had heard of called Callaway Gardens. He heard they had a cool butterfly exhibit and Alexis LOVES butterflies. We also heard they gave great military discounts so we had to check it out. This place was FABULOUS!!!! They must have 20 square miles of absolutely beautiful scenery. They have multiple lakes for fishing plus one with a great beach for swimming, a beautiful garden, a butterfly house, a birds of prey show, plus golfing, hiking, bike riding, and other things depending on the season. We will be going back here a LOT and if you come to visit us this is one place we will definitely be going! My only disappointment of the day was that I didn't check my camera battery so it died about halfway through. I was SOO bummed b/c there were a TON of cute pic opportunities in the garden but we'll be going back so we'll try again.

They also had an egg hunt going on since it was the day before Easter. We let Ryan do it but it was all those egg candies that neither of my girls like so we gave Lex a choice to go see the flowers or do her egg hunt and she chose flowers all the way!

Ryan eating the candy from her hunt.

Daddy and the girls at the beach. It was a beautiful day but the water is definitely still a little cold!

That didn't stop them from getting their feet wet!

Ryan loving the sand.

I just love her pose.

The butterfly house.

So fun. The butterflies were EVERYWHERE!

*** I almost forgot to mention the cutest thing of the whole day. The thing around Lexi's neck is a camera that Grandma Kerry bought her 2 years ago for Christmas. Lately every new place we go she's wanted to take her own pictures and we always forget her camera. THIS time though she remembered and it was adorable to watch her take the pics she thought were interesting. One day I need to do a Lexi pic post! :)
