We are proud new dog owners!!! Travis and the girls have been basically BEGGING me to get a dog. I am not against pets. I love animals BUT I know they are a lot of work. I also know with a 5 year old, a 2 year old, and a husband in the military most of the work was going to fall on me so I was nervous. Travis has been researching and looking and figuring out what he wants. Alexis asks fairly regulaurly and Ryan is ALWAYS pretending she's a puppy and also asks to pet every dog she sees. So when this little Jack Russel Terrier mut showed up on Craigslist we decided to check him out (this all happened TODAY!) We went, we fell in love, and we brought him home to surprise the girls. Everyone meet Tucker (Tuck.) He was already named and he responds well to his name. Plus it's a cute name and is actually the name of my childhood dog (whom I LOVED!) Isn't he adorable! Alexis has probably thanked Travis about 100 times already and the poor puppy didn't get a moment to himself from the time we picked him up till the girls went to bed (luckily it was only about an hour and a half.) The video is when we first brought him in. Travis told the girls he met a little baby "boy" named Tuck while he was gone and he brought him home to play. Did they want to play with him? Okay here he is!

That is one cute puppy! Seriously. I don't even want a dog right now, but I might have brought him home. I love how your girls can't stop giggling when they see him. Congrats on a new addition!

Monica,

We have a JRT! We love her but we call her a jack russell terrorist :) They are so good with kids and very tolerant. We have had ours going on 9 years now and she is a great dog. They do get allergies a lot so she is on meds but their one fault is they run away!! Teach her at a young age to not run!!
