We were starting to feel the crunch of leaving Hawaii once my mom left... :( So we really tried to fit in as much as we could! As many hikes, runs, and beach days as possible! Ashley and family was leaving 2 weeks before us so we fit in as much time with them as possible too!! On this day we went to a lookout that you can see all of Diamondhead and the city and the water! This wasn't the hiking part but Ashley hadn't been here (we had gone when we first got to Hawaii but it was definitely a view worth taking a second time!)
After that we drove to our hike for that day which was 2 trails that formed a loop. Smart Ashley researched and found out which way was better to go around and I'm glad she did because with all 5 kids the way we went was more gradual up and a steeper downhill and we saw quite a few people going the opposite way of us and they were pretty worn out... It wasn't a "Payoff" hike per se but all the trees and plants were breathtaking! Plus we ran into a whole patch of strawberry guava trees!! The only one who really liked them is Alexis (that girl is just like her mama because those things are SOUR!) It was a beautiful hike and another gorgeous day in Paradise.
