We all love Hawaii for different reasons.  Travis is not so much of a just sitting on the beach person but if he can explore or go snorkeling he's usually happy (and I'm happy sitting on the beach with David!)  For this reason I was thrilled when Travis went to the beach with us not once, not twice, but THREE times over block leave! :)  He even suggested which beaches to go!  A few days after we went to Hanauma Bay we went to some tide pools over by Shark Cove (North Shore area.)  I didn't get a  ton of pictures of the kids but they LOVED exploring the tide pools, picnicing, and then going snorkeling past the tide pools with Travis while David napped.  It was a BEAUTIFUL day!

 

 A few days later we met up with some friends from Trav's work at Turtle Beach (Laniakea Beach, also on the North Shore.)  We've been there a few times but never for very long.  Usually, we just check out the turtles on the shore and leave.  This beach is AWESOME for turtles.  I have never gone and seen less than 2 turtles on the shore. 

This time we set up camp on the beach.  We stayed for over 4 hours and it felt like 1.  We saw no less than 10 turtles!  The girls would just be playing and look up and there was a turtle.  They were all different sizes and it never got old.  We all (yes, grown ups included) got excited everytime we saw one.  Again not a lot of pictures but it was another beautiful day and great time!
